Kemer to Demre
Staying in Kemer is an excellent decision with its charming old town, lively centre, and breathtaking coastline. But why not make your vacation even better? We offer an exclusive tour of Demre, Myra, and Kekova that begins at 7 a.m. You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Kemer by a private transfer service in a comfortable vehicle, which will take you to Demre.
Demre Harbour
We will go to Demre harbour where the boat will be waiting to begin our trip to Kekova. Once we raise the anchor, we will set sail.
Kekova Island and Sunken City
Embark on an exciting journey around the Sunken City of Kekova and uncover its intriguing past. The city of Dolchiste, which dates back to ancient times, was submerged by an earthquake in the 2nd century, leaving behind mesmerizing underwater ruins. Since this area is protected, swimming is not allowed. However, you can explore the site by cruising on our boat, enabling you to take stunning photos of the ruins.
Aquarium Bay
Enjoy a refreshing swim break and bask in the sunshine at the picturesque Aquarium Bay.
Simena Castle
Entrance fee: 4 euros (or free with Museum Pass Turkey or Mediterranean Museum Pass).
During our trip, we will stop at Kaleköy port, also known as ancient Simena. We will have an hour to explore the charming village, which boasts castle ruins and a necropolis. For those who enjoy hiking, climbing up the hillside will reward you with stunning views of the Kekova region. Alternatively, if you’d rather relax and enjoy the scenery, you can go for another swim in the crystal-clear blue waters while admiring Simena Castle from below.
Esmeralda Bay
It’s time for a refreshing lunch and swim break at the stunning Esmeralda Bay. Take a moment to bask in the peaceful surroundings and enjoy the tranquillity on this exciting journey.
Burç Bay
Take a refreshing swim break in Burç Bay and enjoy the serene atmosphere. The water in this area is cooler, thanks to the presence of natural springs.
Gökkaya Bay
We will take a break to swim in Gökkaya Bay, allowing you to enjoy the stunning natural surroundings. You can also choose to participate in any of the thrilling water sports available.
Pirates Cave
Explore this fascinating cave, known for its impressive size and unique curved entrance. It was formed naturally and is worth a visit.
Karemlik Bay
In the Mediterranean Sea, there are 7 known sea turtle species, and 3 of them can be spotted at Karemlik Bay. You can observe these magnificent creatures in their natural environment there.
Demre Harbour
Once your captivating journey on the water ends, our boat will anchor at Demre Port. Here, your tour will proceed with a visit to a nearby museum.
Museum of Lycian Civilizations
Duration: 30 minutes
Entrance fee: 4 euros (or free with Museum Pass Turkey or Mediterranean Museum Pass)When you reach the visitor reception area, you’ll notice walking paths that will take you past the Andriake ruins. The path ends at a 2nd-century granary that has been transformed into the Museum of Lycian Civilizations, where you can discover artifacts from nearby Lycian cities that have endured the test of time and provide insight into the region’s ancient history.
St. Nicholas Church
Duration: 30 minutes
Entrance fee: 17 euro (or free with Museum Pass Turkey or Mediterranean Museum Pass)Our tour takes us to the Santa Claus Museum, located in the centre of Demre town. This fascinating archaeological building was constructed in 520 A.D. as a church in honour of St. Nicholas of Myra, a patron saint from the 4th century. You can discover the remnants of the church and transport yourself back in time to the days when the ancient city of Myra was still thriving.
The Ancient City of Myra
Duration: Up to 1 hour
Entrance fee: 13 euros (or free with Museum Pass Turkey or Mediterranean Museum Pass)Explore Demre’s most renowned archaeological site and take a trip back in time as you witness the remarkable ancient ruins of Myra dating back to the 5th century B.C. The stop offers ample opportunity to discover two of its most significant features – a Roman-style theatre (the largest in Lycia!) and eerie rock-cut tombs sculpted at the cliffs.
