At the south point of Aşırlı Island, west of Demre lies the enchanting Pirate Cave. A boat tour will allow you to get up close to the entrance so you can admire this natural opening formed in the rocks.

The cave entrance is larger than it may seem. On a small boat, you may get the chance to enter the cave to appreciate the structure from the inside. Rumour has it that in ancient times, the cave was used by pirates as a hide-out. So who knows if lost treasures are still waiting to be found!
