Yaglica Bay, Turkey
On the mainland of Turkey between Demre and Kas, you can find the stunning Yaglica (Yağlıca) Bay. The area is enormous and surrounded by rocky cliffs and luscious green hills. A unique characteristic of the bay is that it is especially narrow at its opening, meaning there is only space for a few boats at a time. Due to the harsh rocky shoreline, the bay is somewhat reminiscent of a fjord, meaning that it is impossible to walk around. Luckily there’s a better option anyway! Attracted by its turquoise-coloured waters and deep depths (up to 25 metres in the middle), visitors find this to be a perfect spot for swimming or snorkelling. Come and experience it for yourself!
